Never Too Young To Be Great (PT.2) - about being Afrocentric

You are never too young to be great. Period. Done. This post is over...

So why is it so hard to believe that you are???

Because many of us teenagers, myself included, don't see it that way; so simple yet very difficult; so close yet so far; the mentality that goes into being "great".

Many of us ask, "how can they be great?" or, "how can I make today great?" when so many issues and family matters and etc. stifle their success and cause insanity.

Let me tell you, my friends.

 Just do you

 Just be yourself.

Whatever problems that you may be facing you need to grab onto the Lord's grace and strive through them.

You need to trust in God. And you need to trust in yourself.

You have to ignore the things that people say about you and find yourself, that you may know for yourself who you are.

Don't worry about the nay-say of your friends or loved ones, not even your parents, when they poke fun at you working hard on your craft instead of goofing off or studying, because you know for yourself that, whatever craft you are working on now, it is going to be the thing you will be working on for the rest of your life. And not anybody can tell you otherwise. Only you are in the way of
your own greatness.

If your friends or classmates or surroundings are poking fun at your Faith, your face, your lifestyle, your color, your anything, you have to drown that out with positivity. Surround yourself with people who bring productive and stable positivity. They are your true friends. They are the people that will bring you the most value in life.
In the words of the great Biz Markie, anyone who messes with you and bullies and pokes fun at you now will catch "The Vapors" when they are older. They will see how successful you are and how they are not even close. They will humble themselves in your presence in their most vulnerable state and regret the things they have said and done in the past.

And if you don't have people who personally support you in your life, you have to be that person. You have to be your own biggest fan; your own best friend; the one who pumps you up.
And with the Internet, there are loads and loads of content inspiring positivity and greatness and supporting the goals of the individual. It is up to you to dive into that realm and start exploring for those one or two influencers who really boost your morale and your character and you have to listen and learn from them, and apply whatever they say to your own life.

And my friends, never be afraid when there is God by your side. He will always be your Number 1 Fan.

Listen, times get tough and our mentality changes as we grow older and go through the struggles of school, family, relationships, and life. That is why, whatever you want to do for the rest of your life, you should start now and not worry about failing. Don't worry about losing because the only losers are those who stay negative and chase after the wrong things in life. Start now and chase after the good and righteous things in life and people will naturally want to network and work with you once they see how humble and honest you are with your craft. Many will want to help you with your endeavor.

 Keep at it.

 Don't stop.

 Start the hustle.

 Be humble.

 Be honest.

Be faithful to yourself and keep the Faith in God.

And Be Afrocentric. 'Cause that's what we are all about.

You are never too young to be great.
